That $40 ultrasonic cleaner I bought for injectors, it wrecked my coworker's watch

Picked up a cheap ultrasonic tank last spring to clean injector nozzles. Worked great on those. Left it on the bench one Friday and my coworker tossed his watch in there to clean the band. The ceramic bearings in that thing were shot by Monday. He was good about it, said my name brand cleaner was the problem, not me. I learned to put a sign on the machine that says parts only, no personal items. You guys run into that with shared shop tools? How do you keep people from using them wrong?
