Honestly, I keep seeing people post their art at 72 dpi and it drives me nuts
I was looking at a showcase last week for some really cool character designs, but you could see the pixelation on the edges when you zoomed in even a little. Tbh, it completely ruins the detail they worked so hard on. How do you guys make sure your work stays crisp for online viewing?

Wait, you set it to 72 dpi on purpose? That's the part that always messes me up.

So you're telling me @noahc14 actually remembers to make a separate file? That's the real magic trick right there.

Ugh, that's the worst. I used to have that same problem all the time. What fixed it for me was always starting my canvas at 300 dpi, even for web stuff. Then, when I'm totally done, I save a separate copy just for posting online. I resize that copy down to the exact pixel dimensions I need, like 2000px wide, and set it to 72 dpi. It keeps everything super sharp.
