Update: My Cintiq pen just gave up the ghost mid-project

It happened yesterday while I was finishing a commission, so I had to grab my old Intuos tablet to finish the line work. Anyone have a good fix for a pen that just stops registering pressure out of the blue?

Definitely try the driver restart first, it fixes weird pressure issues more often than you'd think. If that doesn't work, take the pen apart carefully and check for any dust or hair wrapped around the spring inside. I've had that kill the pressure before. Also, see if Wacom will do a warranty check, even if it's just out of warranty they might help you out.

Check if the pen tip is loose or if the nib is worn down too far, that can mess with the sensor. Did you try a full restart of your computer and the Cintiq driver? Sometimes the software just glitches. Also, did you drop the pen recently or has it been sitting in a really hot or cold spot?

Ugh, tech gremlins are the worst. Hope one of those fixes works for you.
