Vent: Had to pick between finishing a piece for a show or taking a big client job
Last month, I had a spot in a local gallery show and a freelance offer for a game studio at the same time. The gallery piece was this personal project I'd worked on for six months, but the client job paid $2,000. I picked the money, thinking I could rush the art later. I finished the client work, but my gallery piece looked rushed and got zero attention. Really wish I'd just said no to the cash. Has anyone else tanked a personal project for a paycheck and regretted it?

Man, that's a tough call, but we've all been there.

I've definitely squinted at cables in the dark and paid for it later, lol.

My last tough call was trying to decide between two identical looking USB cables at 2 AM. I spent ten minutes squinting at them, picked the wrong one, and my phone battery died before my alarm went off. The next morning was a total scramble. I’ve made better life choices while half asleep.
