Vent: My Wacom tablet just died in the middle of a client revision

Happened yesterday afternoon, right when I was tweaking the shading on a portrait commission for a guy in Austin. The pen just stopped responding, no warning lights or anything. I spent two hours trying every fix I could find online, from restarting my PC to reinstalling drivers, but nothing worked. Ended up having to borrow a cheap off-brand tablet from a friend just to get the file sent by 5pm. Has anyone else had a tablet just brick itself like that with no prior issues?

My Intuos died the same way three years ago. Try the paperclip trick on the reset hole.

Oh man, the paperclip thing saved mine too! I had to poke that little hole for like a solid minute before it finally woke back up. Felt like magic when it worked.

Wait, three years? Like it just gave up on you one day with no warning? That's wild, I thought these things were supposed to last forever.
