Blew $250 on a fancy SEO audit tool that told me obvious stuff
I was struggling to figure out why my client's blog traffic dropped 40% over 3 months. So I dropped $250 on one of those high-end SEO audit platforms that everyone in this sub keeps hyping up. It gave me a 30-page report full of technical jargon and marked things as critical that I already knew about. Broken links, slow page load times, missing alt text... things I could have found with a free Chrome extension in 20 minutes. The tool didn't tell me anything about the real problem, which was that my content was getting outdated and Google stopped ranking it. Now I'm back to using a free Google Search Console report and actually digging into what changed. Has anyone else wasted money on a tool that just dressed up common sense?

Bet the tool missed that your topics went stale too.
