Just wasted $500 on a 'viral' TikTok ad package that got zero sales.

The agency promised 10x ROAS but didn't segment the audience at all, so my ad for custom dog collars just showed to a bunch of random teens scrolling.

Ever see that happen to someone else? My buddy paid for a "growth hack" ad push for his beard oil. They just blasted it to a huge, cheap audience of mostly women in their 50s. He got a million views and like, three clicks. Total waste because they never even asked who his customer was.

Wait, isn't the real problem the targeting itself? A million views to the wrong people is worse than zero. It's like advertising snow shovels in Florida. You get a big number that means nothing. Those services just want to show you a big view count so you feel like you got something. Your buddy's money paid for bragging rights, not beard oil sales.

Sounds like they're selling the dream of going viral, not actual customers who want dog collars.
