Warning: My Airbnb host in Bali kept interrupting my client calls

I rented a spot for four weeks, but the owner planned cleanings right in the middle of my key meetings. It threw off my whole day. What's your go-to way to explain your routine to new hosts?

That sounds incredibly frustrating during important calls. I always list my must-have quiet hours right in the booking request now.

My worst was a host in Tokyo who scheduled repairs during my morning stand-ups. It totally messed with my flow for days. Now I send a quick calendar screenshot with my locked hours highlighted in red. It gives them a visual cue and sets clear boundaries from the start. Being super direct in the first message has saved me so many headaches.

How clear were you about your schedule upfront? I send a one-line note with my blocked hours right after booking. Most hosts respect it if you're firm from the start. Try putting your non-negotiable times directly in the first message.
