WiFi died in a mountain town, ended up in a library for 3 days

I was working from a cabin outside Asheville last month when the internet just dropped at 9am. My landlord said the whole ridge was down for repairs, no ETA. I packed my laptop and found the local library open at 10, and honestly it was the best backup I've ever had. They had these quiet study rooms you could book for free, and the connection handled my video calls no problem. Has anyone else built a 'plan B location' list for when your main spot fails?

Damn, that's a solid backup plan! Ngl, I did the same thing last winter when our street lost power for two days, the library was a lifesaver for getting work done and staying warm.

Libraries are quiet, which is exactly why they work, but nobody mentions they also have meeting rooms with whiteboards and projectors. If you're ever stuck on a group project during an outage, you can basically run a small office out of there without spending a dime. Just check hours first, because they close way earlier than you'd expect.
