My grandma's loading method from 1985 finally clicked for me

Last week I was unloading and realized I'd been doing the whole 'facing all forks down' thing my grandma swore by, but never actually understood why until I pulled out a bowl with a crusted-on lip. She always said the angle matters more than the direction, and now I see it. Anyone else have a family trick that took you decades to actually get?

Trust the old ladies, they got the reps in. Took me a solid fifteen years of loading boxes to see her point about the leverage. Now I adjust the angle on everything, makes the whole job smoother.
