That one time I spent 45 minutes rearranging my dishwasher for a single mixing bowl

I was making a big batch of cookie dough last Sunday and had this giant Pyrex mixing bowl that wouldn't fit anywhere. I pulled out half the top rack, moved all the plates to weird angles, and even tried stacking it sideways next to the silverware basket. After messing with it for almost an hour, I just hand washed the stupid bowl and threw it in the drying rack. Has anyone else given up mid-load and just done a dish by hand instead of fighting the layout?

Last Tuesday I rearranged my entire dishwasher three times for a single spatula. I have this one rubber spatula that's too long for the utensil basket unless you prop it at this specific angle against a plate. So I move the plates, then the bowls don't fit, then I gotta move the cups, and suddenly I'm playing dishwasher Tetris for 35 minutes. Ended up just washing the spatula in the sink and putting it in the drying rack anyway. Honestly my dishwasher is just a fancy drying rack at this point because I only use it for stuff that fits perfectly the first try.
