Always avoided metal cutting blades on my circular saw...
I was replacing some old fencing last month and my buddy handed me a Diablo metal cutting blade to zip through a stubborn galvanized pipe. Got through it in 20 seconds with zero sparks or kickback... has anyone else been sleeping on these things for random metal work?

Whoa, how was the heat buildup on the blade after that cut?

From what you described, @sage_dixon, did the blade actually start to discolor at the edge, or was it more just warm to the touch? That kind of friction can sneak up on you fast, especially with a longer cut like that. Curious if you had to pause and let it cool down mid-way through.
