inVisited a high-end kitchen showroom in Portland and noticed all the drawer boxes were now 5/8 inch Baltic birch.
Karen_perry38 is right, it's mostly about the upcharge. That extra 1/8 inch doesn't really change how your kitchen works day to day.

inSpent two days fixing a simple layer state mess in a big civil drawing
Oh man, that hits way too close to home. I mean, I've totally been there with those insane layer names. My fix now is to just bite the bullet and run a full purge, then start a fresh layer state from a template I keep. It still takes forever, but at least you're not chasing ghosts in the old mess.

inPro tip: I switched from a standard 10-inch knife to a 12-inch for seams and saw a 40% drop in my seam peaking callbacks over the last eight months.
What brand of hot knife did you switch to? I've been having the same fraying issue.
