I accidentally set my line weight to 0.13mm for a whole section drawing
The client's printer couldn't pick it up at all, so the electrical layer basically vanished on their hard copy. Has anyone else had a plotter just ignore super fine lines like that, or is it just their old machine?

We had a plotter at my old office that would just give up on anything under 0.18mm. It would make this sad little clicking noise and skip right over the conduit layouts. We ended up having a whole office rule about a minimum line weight because of it. The newer machine they got doesn't seem to care at all, so it might just be an old hardware thing.

But what if the old plotter was actually smarter? I mean, maybe it knew those super thin lines would look terrible when printed or cause issues later. It could have been trying to save you from messy blueprints. Newer tech ignoring limits might just mean we're letting sloppy work slide now. That office rule probably made everyone double check their drawings, which isn't a bad thing.
