Started using a 0.3mm lead for my detail work on a recent set of plans
I swapped to it for a week on a big commercial job we're doing. I mean, I figured it would just give me cleaner lines, but it actually made me slow way down and check my measurements twice. The thin lead kept breaking if I pressed too hard, so I had to be way more careful. It was a pain at first, but my final drawings looked a lot tighter. Anyone else find that a small tool change forces you to work differently?

Wait, 0.3mm? That's like a hair... I can't even imagine trying to draft with something that fine. @uma_johnson is right about the forced patience, but man, the constant breaking would drive me nuts. You must have the steadiest hand ever.

Thought it was just about line weight until I tried it. That forced patience really does change your whole process, doesn't it? What kind of lead holder do you use?
