My neighbor's kid burned out his lawnmower engine last summer doing the same thing, just going full throttle through wet grass. The manual might say one thing, but real wear and tear tells a different story. Kai_park has the right idea about checking the book, but sometimes you gotta read between the lines for the real limits. It's like people forget machines have a breaking point.

The manual for the DredgeTech 850 actually says high RPM helps clear the intake in that material.
