Spent $150 on a 'universal' cutterhead bolt kit that was anything but

The threads were off by a quarter millimeter and I wasted half a Tuesday trying to make it work before giving up. Anyone know a good supplier for parts on an older IMS 7012?

Could that quarter millimeter be from dirt or old thread damage? Sometimes those universal kits need a little convincing to work.

Check the bolt kit packaging for a metric or imperial stamp. I mean, a quarter mm is basically the difference between a 10mm and a 3/8 inch thread. Did you buy it from a general hardware place or a real industrial supplier? Those universal kits are junk for old machines, they never fit right. You need to find a place that actually knows the specs for your model.
