Tried staggering my butt joints on a 14-foot ceiling wall instead of lining them up
My partner argued it would take longer but I saved about 45 minutes on taping because the seams didn't stack up, has anyone else given this a shot on tall walls?

Actually, you didn't save any time if you still had to stagger them manually, that's just part of the job. And lining up butt joints on a 14-foot wall is usually fine with some care, why make more cuts?

Oh man, "that's just part of the job" - you say that like it's a good thing, haha. I'll take an extra 10 minutes of cutting over an afternoon of trying to force a warped butt joint to cooperate any day of the week. But hey, maybe I'm just too picky about my seams looking like they belong in a haunted house instead of a living room.
