This past Tuesday was the smoothest service call day I've had in years
I had four jobs lined up, all in the same neighborhood, and every single one was exactly what the customer said it was. No hidden issues, no extra work needed. The last call was for a flickering light in a kitchen, and it was just a loose neutral at the switch. I was packed up and driving home by 3:30 PM. It felt like a weird dream after so many days of chasing gremlins. Has anyone else had a random day where everything just clicks like that?

Driving home by 3:30? That's the real fantasy right there! A four job day ending that early is basically a unicorn.

You ever have a day so good it makes you suspicious? Last month I had three calls in one building, all just bad ballasts like they said. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, like a hidden junction box or a chewed wire. Finished by lunch and just sat in the van for a minute waiting for the universe to correct itself. Those days are rare but they really do reset your whole mood.

That "unicorn" feeling is why I always try to schedule jobs in the same area on one day. It saves so much drive time that you can actually finish early.
