Serious question, has anyone else had a building manager in a high rise try to 'help' and just make things worse?
Last Tuesday at the Orion Tower, the manager insisted on holding the door open with a cinder block while I was checking the guide rails, and he nearly dropped it down the shaft when his phone rang.

Sounds like he was trying to help but just added a whole new problem to the list.

Oh man, "added a whole new problem" is right! I had a super at my last place try to "fix" a leaky pipe under a sink with a whole roll of duct tape. It held for about an hour before it blew off and flooded the whole cabinet.

Honestly that duct tape story is too real. I had a slow drip once and just tightening the slip nut under the sink actually worked for me.
