Had a client last week who refused to let me touch her brows because she'd been filling them in with sharpie for years

She said it was faster than getting them microbladed and she'd saved $400 over three years. Has anyone else run into clients using permanent marker on their face?

Read an article about a woman in England who used permanent marker to fill in a bald spot for years. She ended up with a weird permanent stain that looked like a bruise under her skin. Sharpie ink isn't made for faces, it can seep into pores and cause weird reactions over time. Your client got lucky nothing bad happened, that's a potential disaster waiting to happen.
