My neighbor admitted his Ring doorbell caught me crying on my porch

Last week I was having a rough afternoon sitting on my front steps after a breakup call. My neighbor Jim came over and said hey I saw you on my Ring camera and figured you needed some space. I didn't even realize his camera pointed at my porch area. He wasn't being weird about it but it made me wonder how many of these cameras catch stuff we don't think about. I live in a row of townhouses in Austin so the sight lines are pretty tight. Has anyone else had a neighbor mention something they saw through their smart doorbell that felt a little too personal?

Wait, @casey16, did your neighbor actually do that or are you just guessing about the sharing thing? I know my Ring clips stay on my phone unless I specifically share one, so it's not like they're automatically broadcast to the whole neighborhood. Honestly sounds like Jim did the decent thing by checking on you without being creepy about it.

Read somewhere those Ring doorbells have a feature where neighbors can share clips. Kinda sketchy if you ask me. Hope Jim isn't the type to post stuff online.
