Shoutout to that data privacy workshop I stumbled upon last week
I signed up for a free workshop at the community center on data privacy (mostly out of curiosity, you know). They showed us how apps collect data in the background, even when you're not using them. For instance, my fitness app was sharing location data with advertisers without clear permission. That got me thinking about how little control we have over our own info. I spent the next day going through all my phone settings and turning off unnecessary permissions (it took forever, but I feel better). Now I'm more skeptical about new tech that asks for too much access. It's a big issue, especially with so much tech in schools today. We really need to teach kids about this stuff early on.

Ha, the phone snitch thing is spot on... it's not just a snitch, it's like having a spy in your pocket all the time. My fitness app was probably selling my jogging routes to anyone who'd pay. Spending a whole day in settings felt like playing whack-a-mole with privacy leaks. We're basically teaching kids to hand over their info without a second thought. Pretty wild how we just accept all this tracking.

Did you just discover your phone is a snitch?

Ugh, close those sketchy apps and kill the tracking in your settings, it helps a ton.
