Silver Lake trailhead parking is a nightmare now
Went to do my usual Saturday hike around the lake. Sat in the overflow lot line for 35 minutes. Finally just turned around and went home. Any of you finding spots elsewhere nearby?

Did you try the secret spot behind the old gas station, or is that just my imagination now? Honestly, 35 minutes is practically express service for that lot these days.

Secret spot behind the old gas station is a myth now. Someone probably posted it on TikTok and now there's a line for that too. The overflow lot is basically a third world country on Saturday mornings. I've started hiking at 5am just to avoid the circus. But hey, at least the traffic jam gives you time to really appreciate the scenery from your car.
