Update: I was at the Everett Marina this morning and saw the new public art piece up close
I walk my dog down there a lot, but today I actually stopped to look at that big metal sculpture they put in near the boat launch. It's all twisted steel and looks like waves or something. I stood there for like 10 minutes, and I noticed something I never saw from my car. The way the light hits it, the shadows on the ground make a whole other pattern, like a sun dial. It made me think about how much stuff we just drive past in our own town without really seeing it. I guess the city paid a lot for it, and people online were grumbling about the cost. But seeing it work with the light, I kind of get it now. It's not just a thing to look at, it changes with the day. Has anyone else checked it out since they finished installing it?
