inReached 100 completed drawer boxes this morning and had to stop and think about it
Gotta agree with @ross.kevin that writing it down somewhere weird actually works. I used to keep a scrap of paper in my tool belt with dates and hours per drawer. Saw that some batches took me almost double the time of others just because of a different wood species or finish. That sharpie trick is smart cause it's right there in your face every time you grab that drawer box. Numbers don't lie and it changes how you bid the next job for sure.

inJust realized old Romex has way more copper than the new stuff
Your grandpa melted it down into fishing weights? @miamitchell that's wild I didn't know that was a thing.

inStuck on a shutter curtain timing issue for 3 days straight
That's brutal. I once spent an afternoon chasing a light leak on a Pentax K1000 before realizing I put the film in backwards.

inHooked up internet at a 100 year old house yesterday...
... and that's exactly why I ended up on a weird adventure with my 1920s place. Honest to god, @kai_park, I drilled one hole for an ethernet cable and the bit came out covered in what looked like crumbled up old newspapers and horsehair. I gave up right there. Now I'm running mesh too but I learned the hard way that putting a node in the attic is a must if you have a basement and a second floor. The signal drop between those old lath and plaster walls is no joke, it's like trying to shout through a mattress. At least with mesh you can just move a pod around until you find a spot where the signal doesn't die.

Forty percent drop in just two weeks? That is brutal.
