Blew $60 on a so-called 'local' parking pass that didn't even work

Grabbed a discounted parking pass from a dude near the Everett Marina last weekend, thought I was getting a steal. Turns out the QR code was already used, and I had to fork over another $15 for a legit spot at the lot by the farmers market. Anyone else run into fake passes around here?

Got burned the exact same way down by the Edmonds ferry dock last summer. Paid some guy $50 for what he claimed was a monthly pass, turned out to be a photo copy of someone else's expired one. Ended up having to park a mile away and walk to the terminal in the rain, which was just fantastic. Scammers are getting real slick with those QR codes now too, you gotta be careful. Always buy passes straight from the city website or the machine at the lot, never from some random dude selling deals on the street.

Man I don't know @joseph_adams66, seems like a steep price for a lesson but maybe just bad luck.
