The "only sold to hotels" thing is real and it's a pain. In my experience your best bet is to snap a photo of the tag on the pillow while you're still there, because the brand is usually printed right on it, and then search that name plus "hotel surplus" or "hospitality closeout." Hotels rotate their bedding every year or two and a lot of that stuff ends up on eBay or liquidation sites for cheap. I did this with a Hilton pillow once and found four of them for $30 total, tags still on. Calling the front desk works too but you have to ask for the housekeeping manager, not the clerk at the desk, since they're the ones who actually order the stuff. One warning though, your mileage may vary on buying blind from Amazon because "lumpy foam" covers about a hundred different types of foam and most of them are not the same.
