My favorite sewing machine needle snapped on a thick denim seam yesterday.

I was trying to finish a pair of custom jeans for a client, and the needle just broke with a loud pop. It was a size 110 denim needle I've used for years. I had to stop everything, go to the fabric store in Tacoma, and buy a whole new pack. What's the strongest needle you all use for heavy fabrics like that?

Honestly, that loud pop when a needle goes is the worst sound. Tbh it feels like everything is built to break on purpose now. I had a favorite can opener for a decade that finally gave out, and the new one from the store snapped in a month. It's not just needles, it's like they make things just strong enough to get past the return window. Makes you want to hoard the good old stuff when you find it.
