PSA: I thought 'slow fashion' was just a pricey buzzword until I saw the fabric waste numbers from a factory tour.

The guide said they scrap over 200 yards of material a day on fast production lines, which flipped my view. Has anyone else had a design idea totally changed by seeing the real-world impact?

That's a lot of fabric, but what happens to the scrap? Our local factory sells their leftover material to a company that makes insulation, so it's not all landfill. Isn't some waste just part of making things?

But what about the water and dye waste from that process?

Found a local shop that recycles their dye water... it cut their waste way down.
