Swapped to paper patterns after messing up 3 digital ones in a row
I used to design everything in Illustrator but kept getting my seam allowances wrong, so last month I printed out a basic bodice block and started draping on a dress form instead. Has anyone else found that going analog actually saves time when you're prototyping new cuts?

Screen, seam ripper, same thing really.

I'm sorry, "screen, seam ripper, same thing really"? My brain just short-circuited reading that. A seam ripper is literally designed to tear things apart, it's the whole point of the tool. Like, have you ever tried to use a seam ripper on a phone screen? You'd scratch it to pieces in about two seconds, it's crazy. Or the other way around, trying to rip a seam with the edge of a tablet? That's a one-way ticket to a broken screen and a mangled shirt. I've got to be missing something here, because those two things could not be more different in my book.
