TIL that hemp fabric isn't the magic bullet for sustainable fashion some claim it to be.

After sourcing hemp for a collection, I realized its processing often uses harsh chemicals (which kind of defeats the eco-point, you know?). We need a more nuanced discussion about material life cycles instead of just branding things as 'green'.

What about water consumption during cultivation, or are we just focusing on processing? The farming practices themselves can really undermine those green claims too.
