Switched from paper planners to a cheap digital calendar and my whole week stopped falling apart
Used to keep one of those $30 Bullet journals. Loved it. Wrote everything down. Then I'd forget to check it. Missed two dentist appointments in a row. Switched to the free Google Calendar app like 3 weeks ago. Color coded everything. Now I actually show up to stuff. Anyone else find digital just sticks better?

I hit the same wall with a paper planner back in 2018. Switched to a basic digital calendar on my phone and never looked back. I still miss the feel of writing things down sometimes, but showing up on time is worth more than that.

Funny you mention that @murray.spencer, I think the tradeoff is worth it too - a phone reminder is way more likely to actually keep me on schedule than a page I gotta flip to. At least now I don't have to wonder if I wrote that dentist appointment in the right week or not.

Wait you used a paper planner until 2018? I thought I was the last holdout with my Filofax but I gave that up back in 2013. The sticky notes and crossouts drove me crazy, plus I kept losing the little address book insert.
My phone calendar isn't perfect either though. I still accidentally set reminders for 3 AM sometimes when I'm half asleep. But at least I can see everything at a glance without flipping through dog-eared pages.
