Update: I picked a $5 frozen pizza over a fancy one from Whole Foods

Had to grab dinner fast after work and stood in the store for like 10 minutes deciding between a cheap cheese pizza and a $18 'artisanal' one. I went with the cheap one, cooked it extra crispy, and honestly it hit the spot just as good. Anyone else think some expensive frozen foods are just a total rip-off?

Used to be a total sucker for those fancy frozen pizzas with the fancy boxes. Thought the price meant it tasted better. Grabbed a cheap one last week when I was broke and realized it's basically the same greasy goodness.

So what was the brand of the cheap one that changed your mind? I've had a couple where the crust was like cardboard, but sometimes you find a real winner. Makes you wonder what you're actually paying for with the expensive ones besides a box.

Totally get that. The fancy ones always skimp on toppings anyway, like where's the cheese? That five dollar pizza is pure comfort food, no guilt.
