PSA: Cereal serving sizes have gotten way smaller over time

I dug out an old cereal box from my parents' attic and the serving size was almost double what it is now. They shrink it on the label so the sugar looks lower per serving. Always measure what you actually eat to see the real numbers.

It's not just cereal, you see it with snacks and drinks all the time. They keep the price the same but quietly give you less in the bag or the bottle. Makes you wonder what else we're just used to paying more for while getting less, right? It's a slow trick that adds up over the years without most people even noticing.

Yeah, I used to think like that too... but that "slow trick" line really got me. Now I'm noticing it everywhere.

Wait, I dunno. I've been eating the same bowl of cereal forever and it always looks about the same to me (I mean, it still fills the bowl). Maybe some brands changed, but mine hasn't.
