That shift from mostly local to mostly remote clients is the real story. It shows people figured out remote work actually works for a lot of services. The pandemic just forced the test run, but the convenience stuck. Your old local clients probably found someone online too, and now everyone's competing globally. You have to market and sell your skills completely differently now.
