Glitter glue disaster turned into a sparkle topcoat surprise

I was refinishing an old table when my daughter dropped her glitter glue on it. At first, I panicked, thinking the piece was ruined. But after it dried, I noticed the glitter added a nice subtle shine. I sealed it with a clear coat, and now clients ask for that 'accidental sparkle' finish. Figured out that mixing craft supplies can sometimes give unique results.

ACCIDENTS like that usually wreck my projects, not save them. Glitter glue is too hit or miss for my taste.

Yeah but the "hit or miss" thing is what makes it fun for me. I've found if you thin the glue first you get way more control. Did a picture frame with just tiny streaks in the corners and it looked planned. Sometimes the mess is part of the process.

What ratio do you use to thin the glue? I always thought glitter glue was too messy until I tried @the_tyler's tip. Last week I mixed a bit of water with mine for a card project, and the streaks looked intentional. It made me realize that controlled accidents can actually improve the look.
