Wow, I missed handcraft too until seeing how much faster we get things done now.

But is faster always the point? I get saving time, but sometimes the stuff we make fast just feels... cheap. Like, my grandma's quilt took forever, but I still have it. You think anything made now will last like that? What are we even doing with all the time we save?

That line about how much faster we get things done now reminded me of my friend. She got a table made quick and cheap, and it wobbled so bad she had to throw it out. Now she's looking for a real wood one that will last, even if it takes time to find. Makes you think, what's the point of saving time if we just waste it replacing junk? Ever had something like that happen?
