Getting color ideas from old soup cans for a logo redesign

I'm redoing a logo for a local diner and keep looking at vintage soup can labels for color palettes. The way they use reds and yellows together really pops on the shelf. Does anyone have tips for finding more food packaging that works well for design inspo? Specifically, I need bold, simple layouts that catch the eye.

You mentioned bold, simple layouts from food packaging. Don't just look at pictures online, go feel real old boxes in a thrift store or an attic. The faded colors and worn textures on the physical objects give you a different kind of simple boldness. That hands-on grit can translate into a logo that feels genuinely classic, not just a digital copy.

Why was I so sure screens were enough?

Honestly, if @erict78 is doubting screens now, wait until he starts hoarding actual soup cans in his studio... next thing you know, he's running a museum instead of a design business. But yeah, touching old boxes sounds great until you realize most of them smell like grandma's attic. Still, the faded colors do have a charm that pixels just can't fake. Just don't blame me if you end up with a logo that makes everyone hungry for canned soup.
