I envy people with nice handwriting because mine looks like a chicken walked through ink. When I try to add notes to guides, they become unreadable mysteries. That's why my dad's neat notes in our family park guide are such a treasure.

Actually you can make digital notes pretty personal too, I add little tips on my phone's map app. But yeah, the handwritten stuff is a whole different kind of special.
