Getting quotes for a master bath and bedroom addition. We've talked to Elite Builders and River City Renovations so far. Elite seemed super professional but insanely pricey. River City was cheaper but their portfolio looked a bit dated to me. Anyone have experience with either, or know a better alternative?

A friend used River City and said the project management was a mess. Lots of delays and miscommunication with the subs. I'd avoid them if you're doing something as complex as an addition.

If you want the professionalism of Elite but with better design vision, check out Hurst Design Build Remodel. We had them do our master suite and they were phenomenal. Not the cheapest guys in town, but the quality and communication were worth every penny.
Seconding Hurst. They have a dedicated project manager for every job so you're never left wondering when the plumbers or electricians are showing up. Made the whole process way less stressful.
