Am I the only one who saw a local artist's work get ripped off by an AI prompt last month?

A painter in my town, Denver, posted a new mural online three weeks ago. By last Friday, someone had fed it into a generator and was selling prints of the 'style' on a cheap site. Has anyone else seen this happen to a small creator they know?

Ugh, that's so gross. A friend who makes pottery had her glaze patterns copied and turned into digital wallpaper. It's happening everywhere now.

Actually makes you wonder if this digital theft could backfire on the copycats, @claire_sullivan. If the wallpaper gets popular, people might start looking for the real pottery it came from, sending more customers to your friend. The copy ends up being free advertising.

Reminds me of a band that got huge after their demo got leaked on a file sharing site. Funny how that works.
