Saw an AI art booth at the local craft fair and it was weird
I went to the Portland Saturday Market last weekend and there was this guy selling prints that were clearly AI generated. Like the hands were all wonky and the faces had that smooth uncanny look. He was charging $40 a print and people were actually buying them. The booth next to him was a watercolor artist who hand paints everything, and she looked so frustrated watching people walk past her. Has anyone else seen AI art being sold at real life markets like this?

...wait, $40 for wonky AI hands? That's insane. I saw a similar setup at a market in Austin last month, the guy had "art" of cats with four ears and a river that went uphill. People were just handing over their credit cards like it was normal. The real painter next to him had originals for $50 and nobody even looked.

Bought a "unique" AI print once. Looked like a melted giraffe with six legs.
