Vent: got roasted by a guy in a Discord server for my AI art prompts and it actually helped

Some dude named Mike in the Midjourney channel said my cityscape looked like a 'melting ice cream cone' because I was overloading with too many adjectives in the prompt. I trimmed it down to just 5 keywords and focused on lighting instead. Has anyone else found that simpler prompts give you better results?

Same thing happened to me but with a cat portrait. I had like 20 keywords trying to get this perfect fluffy look and someone said it looked like wet cardboard. Cut it down to just "soft lighting, detailed fur, green eyes" and bam, instantly better. Words like "ethereal" and "cinematic" were just cluttering things up honestly. Now I start with 3-4 core things and add maybe one or two if the result is too basic.

Had a friend who did that with a landscape and ended up with a picture that looked like a melted pizza.
