Caught myself defending a flawed AI resume screener after 3 months of using it

I was screening delivery driver applicants with this AI tool and thought it was fine until I realized it auto-rejected anyone with a 6 month gap in work history, including a single dad who was literally caring for his sick kid. The only reason I noticed was because my own cousin's application got canned and I dug into the logs. How many good people have we all tossed out because we trusted the algorithm over our own judgment?

Wait, how many legit people got dumped before you caught that bug? The gap thing is such a dumb red flag, plenty of folks take time off for real reasons. I bet your single dad story is just the tip of the iceberg. These tools need a human looking over their shoulder, always.
