Dropped $300 on an AI writing helper for my small business blog

That was about six months back. My thinking was it would cut my writing time in half. At first, it was great. Churned out posts fast. But then I noticed the tone was off. It felt cold. Readers picked up on it too. One email said my stuff felt 'made by a robot'. Had to go back and rewrite most of it by hand. Now I only use it for rough outlines. Feels like I paid for a shortcut that made the road longer. Anyone else get burned by a tool that promised to save time but just made more work?

My buddy Mark runs a local bike shop. He bought a $200 social media scheduler that promised to auto-generate posts. It kept posting about mountain bike trails in Colorado, but we live in flat Florida. He spent more time fixing the weird posts than he ever saved.

Switched to a free manual scheduler instead and never looked back.

Reminds me of that recipe app that kept suggesting clam chowder.
