Just realized the self checkout at my grocery store in Toledo has been making me scan my own stuff for a year now
Stood at the register at a Kroger on Monroe St around 7pm and watched one cashier cover 6 lanes by herself. They cut the other three humans sometime in the fall and nobody at the store said a word about it to us. We just quietly started doing a job that used to pay somebody 14 bucks an hour. If a robot replaced the guy who bagged my groceries, why am I the one who got the raise? Curious how many of you have a store that runs like this now.
