Vent: My favorite cafe just replaced baristas with a robot arm

Honestly, watching a machine make coffee feels weird and makes me worry about jobs. Tbh, should we support places that automate like this? I'm torn between convenience and ethics.

Yeah, it IS a super weird feeling to get coffee from a machine. I worry about all the jobs being lost too, honestly. That's why I still try to go to the smaller local spots when I can.

That "useless degree" line got me. My cousin majored in philosophy and now he's a park ranger who gives these amazing talks about John Muir and Thoreau. He says he uses the logic stuff from his classes to explain trail rules to angry tourists. It's not about saving you from a robot, it's about finding the weird little spot where your brain fits.
