Vent: My pest control route planning used to take half a day, now it's done in 15 minutes
I used to plan my daily service route by hand, looking at a paper map and a list of 30 addresses every Monday morning. It took about four hours and I was always driving back and forth across town. About six months ago, I tried a free AI route optimizer I saw mentioned online. I just plug in the addresses and it gives me the best order in under a minute. It saves me so much gas and time... I can't believe I didn't try it sooner. Has anyone else found a specific AI tool that just completely cut out a huge chunk of your workday?

That's the quiet revolution happening right now... AI just handles the boring mental chores. It feels like we're finally getting those personal assistants we were promised. The time saved is the real gift.

Yeah, about that personal assistant, @patricia317... mine just wrote three emails about "synergizing our going-forward bandwidth." So now my boring mental chore is fixing its weird robot talk, which feels like a whole new job. The time saved gets spent checking its work, like kim_west said. Maybe the real gift is learning how bad my own writing used to be before I had a robot to compare it to.

Forget the chores, who's checking its work?
