Was super skeptical about AI writing tools - now I use them for rough drafts
I used to think AI writing tools were just for cheating on homework. I wouldn't touch them for my freelance work. Then six months ago my client in Austin wanted 5 blog posts in 3 days. I was drowning. A friend showed me how she uses an AI tool to spit out bullet points and a rough structure. I tried it for the first post and it cut my research time in half. I still rewrite everything and add my own voice but the starting block is REAL. Now I'm wondering if I was just stubborn or if other people here had that moment where a tool you hated suddenly clicked for you. What made you change your mind?

It's just another tool in the toolbox.

Yeah the "cheating on homework" thing is a bit off though. I mean a lot of schools are actually starting to teach kids how to use it responsibly now like any other research tool. It's not really cheating if you're using it the same way you'd use Google or a textbook to get started.
